updated – 24 March
Latest information from the Scottish Government – https://www.gov.scot/news/effective-lockdown-to-be-introduced/
The First Minister has called for an immediate stop to public gatherings of more than two people in Scotland.
From 23rd March the only permissible reasons to leave your home are as follows:
- to shop for basic necessities and that should be limited to once a day
- to take exercise once a day – but alone or with your own household, not in groups
- for medical reasons or to care for a vulnerable person
- to travel to essential work if that cannot be done at home. Further guidance to employers is pending.
Gatherings of more than two people in public are prohibited – unless it is a household group or work related. Social events must not take place. That includes weddings and christenings. The exception is funerals but we are asking – in what is undoubtedly the hardest thing I will say tonight – that they are restricted to immediate family only.
We will continually update this page with new information as we get it.
If you have to postpone your wedding then we will transfer our service to your new date as long as we are available. Please work with us on this, we’ll be as flexible as possible to make sure that we can be there. So far the few couples that have postponed have successfully managed to secure all their original suppliers.
We have a favour to ask: we’re a small business that relies on a predictable income. This situation will cause a significant interruption to that income. If you do postpone your wedding we would be grateful if you would pay any balances on their original invoice dates. Please let us know if that will be a problem and we’ll work with you to arrange a mutually suitable solution.
If you have to cancel we understand. For some there is no alternative. We will refund any money paid to us above the 30% booking fee. If you later decide to have your wedding and want to have us as your photographers we will transfer that booking fee to your new date.
Are you coming from outside the UK
If you are travelling here from outside the UK please keep us up to date with any travel restrictions you have. We will work with you to re-arrange a suitable alternative date.
This link – https://www.gov.uk/government/topical-events/coronavirus-covid-19-uk-government-response – will give you the latest advice from the UK government regarding restrictions to the public.
If the government officially closed down public gatherings then we will treat this as a postponement and work with you to secure a new date.
Again, we’re here to support you as best we can so please get in touch if you have any questions at all.
All the best and we hope you stay safe and well.
