On a wet, cold and windy February day I arrived in Glasgow to photograph the wedding of Karen and Martin. I’d not been to the 29 Glasgow before, I was excited to be there because I’d heard great things about it.
As I entered the ceremony room I knew immediately that this would be a great wedding. The space was cosy, intimate and unpretentious. The exposed brick walls, softened by the fairy lights and flower arrangements made the room feel romantic and charming. All I needed now was the arrival of the bride.
Louize, the planner, let me know that Karen was on her way. We headed down stairs and as we walked towards Glasgow’s gallery of Modern Art we saw Karen, her bridesmaids, and her dad walk into view. Everyone was in high spirits and looking forward to the wedding. I ran around photographing their arrival and as I ascended the stairs back to the club. I looked forward to the next 10 hours with delight. This would be a wedding to remember.
