Using our calendar to reserve a wedding date

    Table of Contents

We’ve tried to make everything as easy and barrier-free as we can, including booking us for your wedding.

Most couples check out more than one photographer for their wedding and many will plan on speaking to two or three before making their final decision. That’s reasonable and we encourage you to do this. It’s so important that your photographer takes wonderful photos, provides an excellent service and also fits well on a personal level. It takes time to find the right photographer and the last thing we want you to do is to miss out because you were taking some time to think things through. If you are thinking of having us at your wedding then we offer the option of reserving your wedding date for 14 days while you make your decision.

    So, how does it work?

On our calendar page you have the option to reserve your wedding date. It’s a £50 refundable deposit to hold the date. All you need to do is

    • select the package
    • choose your date
    • fill in the form
    • pay the £50 refundable deposit

The calendar will notify us that you have reserved the date then we will send you an email to arrange to finalise the booking, which includes arranging a time to chat with us about your wedding plans and what we offer.

If you decided to go ahead with the booking then we take the full deposit for the package you have chosen and refund you the £50 for reserving the date (usually the next working day).

If you choose not to go ahead then just let us know and we’ll refund the £50 deposit the next working day.

Currently this isn’t available for hourly weddings but we’re working on including them to the calendar too.

Why Take the £50 deposit if you are just going to give it back?

We want to be as accommodating as possible but we do also need to balance that with business needs.

While we don’t want to end up in a situation where dates are held on a whim we do understand that post-pandemic, for the next few years, it’s going to be difficult finding availability for your preferred suppliers. There’s no need to add to that stress worrying you might loose the supplier by taking time to make an informed decision.

Taking a £50 deposit is a reasonable way to know that couples are seriously thinking about having us at their wedding but may also be considering their options. We dislike situations that leave couples feeling pressured into making a decision so this system gives you the peace of mind that you have time to make the right choice for you as a couple.
